Only 5 kilometers away from Rabac, a famous tourist center, is Labin,
an ancient town of the tumultuous history that occurs smells and warmth
of the sea. Labin today consists of two separate parts: the old village
on a hill, or Labin in the narrow sense, and new, Podlabin mining
settlement, founded in early 40-ies of the XX century. A typical
Istrian village on the acropolis hill today well preserved with
beautiful views. On the foundations of prehistoric ruins in the Roman
period was built in the city Albona. In the Middle Ages is a dangerous
defensive walls (XVI century). In the XVII. century the city expanded
beyond the walls where the square is the town loggia, the parish church
and the luxurious Renaissance patrician palace. Within the city walls
is discernible circulatory system of communication. Narrow and winding
streets, stairs and passes nadsvoćeni create specific spatial
atmosphere. Was born in Labin Extension, one of the largest Protestant
theologians XVI century, the philosopher and historian. From the top of
the old part of Labin beautiful open views of the Ucka, Rabac, Kvarner,
